Happy New Year everyone!!
I know it’s been awhile since my last post and thank you everyone for your patience!! I hope everyone had a very happy holiday season and a happy New Year!! I certainly did!! I also can’t believe how fast it has all gone and that we are now in 2016! I always like to reflect on the year gone by and everything that has happened and how I can use that to propel myself into a successful following year. This past year brought a lot of firsts into my life- my first year as a blogger, my first year in social media with Instagram and tomorrow, my first day at a new job! I know i’m not reaching that big of an audience yet, but I hope that for those who do read this that it maybe helps in some small way, even if it is just a smile on your face. As I continue to move through my 30s, I realize just how much I have enjoyed them and how much easier it is to be myself and express myself than ever before. I know a lot of that has been from growing and maturing myself, but I also know that it wouldn’t and couldn’t have happened without the undying support I have from my awesome and amazing husband, son, mother, family and friends. My goals for this year are to be the best me I can be, and in all aspects of my life- personally, professionally, with my family and friends, and of course, expressing myself- whether it be via this blog or Instagram or in person. So here’s to an amazing 2016- I can’t wait to get started!!!!
One of the things that I have had my eyes opened too over this past year with social media is many small and amazing internet based companies out there. Many have brick and mortar stores too, but without the internet and social based media, I would’ve never found them!
All these fun glittery lips came from To Dye for Cosmetics and they are AMAAAZING!!!! They stay on like a matte lip and I can eat and drink and kiss my hubby to my heart’s desire without worrying about losing the pigment!! I recently saw on her Instagram (@lovieshante) that there is a pink collection that I am definitely going to be trying soon!!
Of course, with the winter weather has come some fun boots that I have finally been able to pull out..
I always get a kick out of pulling out these fur trimmed beauties from Alice and Olivia on the left once the temperature dips and the platform front makes them wearable all day! These knee high boots from Giuseppe Zanotti are a staple in my closet. I haven’t gotten bold enough to try over the knee styles yet, mainly because I’m on the shrimpy side (just south of 5’2″). If anyone has any suggestions on how a petite woman can pull off OTK boots, please let me know. These last shorties on the right from Balenziaga technically are part of their spring collection, but since I’m already using them, I thought I would add em in! What do you think?
And of course, what would the holidays be without my amazing family?
I’ve had so many fun adventure with them and can’t wait to have some more. I am so lucky to have them and look forward to showing them how much I appreciate them next year and in the years to come!!!
