Happy Tuesday!
I hope everyone is having a great Pre-Thanksgiving week!! Sorry this post is a little late, but work, life and family have a way of getting away from you at times… Anyways, here we go!!
Some of the things I love about Vegas are that not only are there so many things to do, but that they run the gamut from the flash and glam of the strip, to what seem like a piece of heaven in the natural beauty of Red Rock Canyon. Luckily for me, I was able to experience both sides of the coin this past weekend!
Friday evening, we were able to get a sitter for the evening and make a date night out of checking out Blue Man Group and their return to Luxor. To go with the blue theme of the night, I wore these blue heel-less wedges from Giuseppe Zanotti. This fit and flare leather dress from Tamara Mellon was a perfect flirty touch and for a pop of color, this custom clutch from Leather Couture by Jessica Galindo was the finishing touch!
On Saturday, we decided to check out Crystals for some wishful thinking Christmas list shopping. Many of the stores are either having sales now, or are getting ready for their fall/winter sales, which are usually pretty good- usually 30% off or more, so it’s definitely worth checking out!! Also, if you like looking at holiday decorations, they have an Enormous Christmas tree that is cool to see!!
Believe it or not, I’ve had these black faux leather leggings for about a year, but hadn’t really worn them because I wasn’t sure how to style them and didn’t want to look like I was trying to look like an 18 year old. However, one thing I’ve learned from doing this blog and seeing all the awesome ways that people craft their looks on Instagram and other blogs is that there is nothing to fear with fashion- just have fun with it! – and these leggings are not only ridiculously comfy, but add edge and style to another otherwise “mommy” outfit of leggings. Also, because I got them at an Express 40% off sale, they were a bargain too!! 😉 I also like mixing genres, and the lace on these Dior wedges is a great mix for me with the faux leather leggings.
Sunday, we finally checked out Red Rock Canyon- I’ve been in Vegas for over 4 years and I’m finally checking it out!! So worth the wait- everything was gorgeous!! I can’t wait til our little guy is better able to hike on his own so we can really explore as a family!!!
Isn’t the canyon gorgeous?!?! These work out pants are my favorites!! They are from Alo Yoga and the moto detailing on them is ridiculous and they can truly be worn in and out of the gym. I got soooo many compliments on them when I wore them on the streets.
Thanksgiving is in just 2 more days- so I couldn’t end this post without saying what I am grateful for- my wonderful, amazing and loving husband, son and mother. My amazing family and friends. That I am able to do what I love every single day and that I have the freedom to express my creativity in this little blog. I am so thankful for everything I have and try to give back to my community. I don’t know what I did to deserve all of this, but I can’t begin to express how thankful I am for all of it!!! What are you thankful for this year? I’d love to hear about it!!!
